The Surfsight AI-12 dashcam continuously records the vehicle’s trip on a local SD card. The recordings from the SD card can be viewed and downloaded from the Surfsight Dashboard. There is no need to pull the SD card from the camera.


There are two ways in which you can view the recordings from the Surfsight dashboard. The Surfsight dashcam needs to be in Active Standby mode or online  in order to view and download the recordings.

  1. Retrieve recordings from the ‘Recordings’ tab
  2. Stream Recordings from the map

To view and download the recordings follow these steps.

Stream Recordings from the Map:

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click on the ‘Maps’ tab on the left bar. 
  3. Select the vehicle you would like to view. 
  4. The vehicle trips from the same day will be listed on the left column to the map. 
  5. Click on the trip you wish to view. 
  6. The trip trail, with the start and end points will show on the map. 
  7. Click on a single point on the trip trail using the cursor to open a window showing the trip details and the cameras. 
  8. Click on the camera you wish to view and the video will start playing on the right of the screen. 
  9. Please allow several seconds for the video to buffer.
  10. After 30 seconds of streaming, you will be prompted to choose whether to continue watching. 
  11. You can save the video locally to your computer.  

Retrieve Recordings from the Recordings tab:

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click on the ‘Recordings’ tab on the left bar.
  3. Click on the vehicle you wish to view.
  4. Select the date, time and camera you wish to view.
  5. Click on the ‘Filter’ button to see a list of the video recordings.

  1. Click on the video recording you wish to view.  
  2. The video recording will download from the SD card and play on your screen. 
  3. Please allow several seconds for the video to buffer.
  4. You can also save the video locally to your computer.
